As you will know, I am a proud pet owner that loves to take my dogs on adventures. I travel the country exploring pet friendly hotels uk, pet friendly bed and breakfasts uk and pet friendly guest houses uk! I eventually decided that I should create Pets Welcome Hotels UK, for people like me that do not want to leave their dogs at home.

There are some stunning pet friendly hotels in the uk. Offering bespoke services to not only us put also our dogs. Realising that with we are mostly a nation of animal lovers, our pets are a part of the family and we do not want to leave them behind. The Chesterfield Hotel Mayfair | Tracy Smith | Homes Partnership

A REVIEW BY TRACEY SMITH PET OWNER AND DIRECTOR OF HOMES PARTNERSHIP

We have stayed at the Chesterfield Hotel in Mayfair, five times now as it’s our favourite hotel in London…and we’ve stayed at quite a few.  Firstly the location is superb, beautiful walks in Hyde Park, close to all the shopping and the nightlife / theatre.  Afternoon tea in the conservatory is divine, such a lovely setting and service second to none.

From the minute you walk through the door you know you are somewhere special, nothing is too much and it’s always lovely to see familiar faces every time you visit.  The bar is a great place to unwind and enjoy a glass or two of bubbly.  A beautiful place to stay at any time of year, we particularly enjoy the lead up to Christmas, the tree and decorations are always stunning.  The rooms are comfortable, luxurious and cosy.

On our last visit I had tweeted about my excitement at going back, so when we arrived at reception the Hotel Manager came to greet us and thank us personally for our feedback, we were made to feel very special, it’s the little things like this that make such a difference.

We have to be honest and say we have never taken our dog with us…..until we saw the hotel on PetsWelcomeHotelsUK.com we didn’t know we could!  So now the question is, will we take our huge German Shepherd with us next time?  At first glance of the hotel photos you might think not; such a beautiful hotel with intricate décor, could we really imagine him in the conservatory, would we be on tenterhooks all the time?  Well knowing the team at the Chesterfield Hotel, we know he would be made very welcome and we wouldn’t worry at all.  We are considerate and responsible dog owners and our beautiful Buddy is loved by everyone anyway, so we have no doubt he would be looked after and catered for in the classic Chesterfield way.
